PVUSD CTE Tiny Home Project
The PVUSD CTE Building and Construction Trades pathway at Aptos High School began a Tiny Home initiative in Fall 2022 at Aptos and Watsonville High Schools. The two-year project provided students with hands-on skill-building experiences in many aspects of the construction industry trades as well as the design and building of structures like a tiny home. View a virtual tour of the student-built tiny home here.
This initiative has been fueled by PVUSD’s partnerships with Granite Construction and the Pajaro Valley Education Foundation (PVEF).

PVUSD CTE Airplane Build
In 2025-26, PVUSD CTE launched a first-of-its-kind Career Technical Education Engineering Technology pathway focused on the aviation industry. In the new pathway, Engineering Design: Flight, Aerospace, Systems, and Technology, Pajaro Valley High School students are building a fully-operational Van’s RV-12 airplane from the ground up.
This extraordinary opportunity is made possible through an innovative partnership between PVUSD, Monterey Bay DART, City of Watsonville, Watsonville Municipal Airport, EAA Chapter 119, Tango Flight, and Joby Aviation.
